Systema in North America
Shortly after the fall of the former Soviet Union,
Vladimir Vasiliev emigrated to Canada and founded the first school of
Systema in Thornhill, Ontario, just north of Toronto.
Since that time, schools of Systema have arisen across the United States and Canada, as well as throughout Europe and other countries.
Vladimir Vasiliev has augmented his instructional method by producing a number of videos and DVD's highlighting many different aspects of the System. Recently videos and DVD's highlighting Vladimir's original teacher from Moscow-- Mikhail Ryobko-- have also been produced.
