Michigan Tech Counseling Services offers career counseling in coordination with the MTU Career Center.

Career counseling assists students explore their core interests, aptitudes and personality preferences as they develop optimal career choices and pathways. To help in maximizing the optimal mix of personality style, aptitude and interests with career goals and strategies, Counseling Services frequently utilizes such self-discovery instruments as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, along with personal and sometimes academic counseling. To help with future employement interviews, occasionally students are taught various strategies drawn from stress management and from social skills training.
