Karen Chapin

Karen Chapin will be one of your first contacts as she will be there to greet you when you come to the Counseling Services department. Karen tries to make the students feel at home when they come to Counseling Services. She likes the fact that Counseling Services is here for the students and feels that it is a much needed service. When calling Counseling Services Karen can make your appointment for you and will help with any questions you may have in regards to the services offered through Counseling Services. If you have questions that do not pertain to Counseling Services; she will try and find the right contact for you on campus.

Karen started working at MTU in 1984 and has held various jobs on campus. She has been working as the Managerial Secretary in Counseling Services since 1996. She has served on and continues to serve on campus committees. She hopes by serving on these committees it will help the students, faculty and staff that work at MTU. Karen is originally from Wyandotte, Michigan. After vacationing in the area she moved to the Upper Peninsula where she has raised her family.
